Hamarki CBD and Recovery

When it comes to exercise recovery is just as important as putting in the hard work. If you do not take the time to recovery properly and nourish your body the way you should this could essentially lead to injury or illness. 

One of the most important ways to recover is reducing stress and getting better sleep. Stress can really make our bodies fall apart quick and will lead to disruptive sleep. With that said taking the steps to add or do things in your routine before bed can improve your stress and sleep tremendously.

One of my favorite bedtime additions is taking CBD sublingual to better my sleep and decrease stress and inflammation in the body.

So what is CBD?

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a non-psychoactive phytocannabinoid (naturally produced by the plant)  found in the cannabis sativa (hemp) plant. This type will not give you the high that THC would. 

Some of the top functions of CBD in our body are:

  • Reduce pain and inflammation

  • Support healthy skin

  • Supports digestive function and appetite

  • Regulates hormones and metabolism

  • Supports mental health and well being

  • Supports healthy sleep

  • Reduce stress and anxiety

How does CBD work in the body with recovery?

When we workout that is causing a type of inflammation to occur. With this occurrence comes reactions like muscle soreness or fatigue. In order to take care of this it can be important to add things like CBD to help reduce these side effects. 

For example, we have what are called cytokines that are signaling proteins synthesized and secreted by immune cells, modulate the initiation and resolution of inflammation. CBD helps to reduce cytokine production by the immune cells such as T helper cells TH1 and TH2 (these are the same cells in which overactivity can contribute to autoimmune issues and food intolerances)

What product do I choose to use in my daily regimen?

To combat inflammation and help my own recovery I like to use a full spectrum CBD oil that I can trust and get the job done.
